I picked Adam Rodriguez because I’m very familiar with his work on CBS; CSI Miami as Eric Delko and on Criminal Minds as Luke Alvez.
But it was his interaction with Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) on Criminal Minds that sold me on the idea that he’d make a wonderful and believable Juan Carlos Rodriguez. And, I kind of lost interest in the show when he got a skinny girlfriend.
And, although I didn’t show Eleanor’s face in the book, if it ever became a movie, I’d love it if Melissa McCarthy played her.
The push back and forth, the Ying and the Yang, and that age old chemistry play of I hate you/I love you, between Adam and Melissa, would be fantastic to see on screen.
